Introduksjon av Beating and Freeness Tester<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Tester for slag og frihet<\/strong>\u00a0brukes til \u00e5 bestemme drenerbarheten til en massesuspensjon i vann i form av Schopper-Riegler (SR)-tallet.<\/p>\n<p>Schopper-Riegler-testen er utviklet for \u00e5 m\u00e5le hvor raskt en fortynnet suspensjon av papirmasse kan avvannes. Det har vist seg at drenerbarheten er relatert til fibrenes overflateforhold og svelling, og utgj\u00f8r en nyttig indeks for hvor mye mekanisk behandling massen har v\u00e6rt utsatt for.<br \/>\nI prinsippet kan denne metoden brukes p\u00e5 alle typer papirmasse i vandig suspensjon. I praksis gir imidlertid Schopper-Riegler-testen bare akseptable resultater hvis det dannes en tilstrekkelig tett fibermatte p\u00e5 tr\u00e5dsilen. Av denne grunn anbefales ikke testen for enkelte ekstremt kortfibrede massetyper, som for eksempel de som kommer fra godt sl\u00e5tt l\u00f8vtre, da de fleste fibrene vil passere gjennom tr\u00e5dristen, noe som resulterer i en unormal reduksjon av SR-tallet.
